Training for grading

I have my 2nd Dan grading in TKD looming, 31st March 07, and I was (until last night) in two minds to go for it. I sat my 1st dan in March 1999 and then stopped training sometime in 2002 or 2003 then started again in summer 2006.

My instructor at the moment is Russell Dennis (6th Dan) and he suggested the grading so I have been training hard for it but I asked him last night about it all. See, he is one of the examiners as well as my instructor and I should be able to make my own decisions but being new to the area and having been back at training for just a matter of months so I was unsure about it all.

Anyway, after training last night we had a quick chat and he reckons I should do it. Although I do still have to perform on the day I now feel more confident about it. Here goes then and I will keep you all posted - crikey, I must have at least a millions readers by now.

Note: training at the moment is geared towards the grading and Cage Rage Contenders as Steve Elliot (3rd Dan) is entering his 3rd MMA fight on Sunday 4th March in Hammersmith. So, Steve and I had a good thumping session last night - see, he needs a bit of thumping building up to the fight and I don't mind doing it (just need to be prepared for being thumped back that's all).

Hard at work

OneOutdoors news here. Over the past few days we have had to put our 'forward orders' in for both Rab and Montane. This means that I have had to decide what I think you will buy during this coming winter, Sept '07 onwards.

The Rab order is larger than the Montane but both have increased since last time which is hairy to say the least. Some great stuff on the order, good for outdoorsey types and fitness types.

Just testing the links between blogger and flickr. So, thought I would make a post about this photo. We stayed there for our 2nd wedding anny.

I must find out the name of the hotel and post it here.

My old mate...

...recurring knee problems.

Recently my left knee has been loose and generally not that stable probably due to my legs not being strong enough and all the TKD that I do. So, I just spoke to my mate Alex Poole (we where at school together) who runs Kinetic Fitness to see if he could devise some miracle strength cure for the supporting muscles around the knee.

2nd Post

Well, this is easy. Perhaps I should just use this one then, Blogger that is, rather than hunting around for 'the best blog' or the one that offers the best set of features because I do far too much of that when really I should just use one that works. This looks like it works, I'll use this one - I think.
